One Man, Another Man, and Yet Another Man at Blog World
by Greg on Sep.18, 2008, under General, Rants, Work
Tomorrow afternoon, One Man, Another Man, and yours truly will depart for Blog World in Las Vegas, NV. So here I sit, the day before I attend the largest gathering of bloggers and social media experts in the world, and I reflect on how I’ve not been so dedicated to keeping my blog updated. I’m going to Blog World, not so much a blogger, but rather assisting AP and John P at the convention, and making myself available to anyone who has questions about LayeredTech and FastServers Managed Hosting services, and our enterprise migration services.
I do hope, however, that interacting with Blog World attendees will spark a fire under my behind, with motivation to make more time to write on my blog. I couldn’t be more excited about this weekend — not only do I get to visit Las Vegas, but I get to interact with some of our enterprise clients, like WordPress and Woopra.
Well, it’s late, and I must start packing. In the off-chance that anyone reading this is going to BlogWorld this weekend, keep an eye out for our crew, and stop by to introduce yourself!
Firefox Goes for World Download Record
by Greg on May.29, 2008, under General
For the latest version of Firefox, the Mozilla team has announced that they’ll be attempting to set a world record for the most software downloaded in one day. They haven’t set a date yet, but it sounds like it will be happening sometime in June.
Update (albeit from a few months ago):
Thanks to the support of the always amazing Mozilla community, we now hold a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours. From 18:16 UTC on June 17, 2008 to 18:16 UTC on June 18, 2008, 8,002,530 people downloaded Firefox 3 and are now enjoying a safer, smarter and better Web.
What to have for lunch today?
by Greg on May.21, 2008, under General
What to have for lunch today? It’s a common question in our office, which is full of people whose lives revolve around food. My friend Eli turned me on to Menumap, a site that lists restaurants in all neighborhoods of NYC, Boston, SanFran, Chicago, LA, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. There are actually quite a few restaurants around the office here that I never knew existed…

And then there were three….

After talking with a couple of my co-workers, John P/AP, I’ve decided to start blogging. It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for some time, but just haven’t had made the time to actually sit down and do it!
Thanks to both of those guys for giving me advice and helping me get started!
